Bojana Kunst

Dr. Bojana Kunst is a philosopher and a contemporary art theoretician. Her primary research interests are philosophy of contemporary performance, philosophy of choreography and movement, performance and politics, gender studies, performance and media, dramaturgy, philosophy of embodiment. She is a member of the editorial board of Maska Magazine, Amfiteater and Performance Research. Her essays are published in numerous international journals and publications and she lectures extensively in Europe. On Senseless Spending

The proposals for common being, which are articulated regardless of the existing power relations, can never be evaluated. If art really needs to be affirmed through the language of economics, it needs to be pointed out that art is not connected to the economy of the production of value but is much closer to aimless spending – to giving gifts without expecting a return.
